10 Candy Alternatives To Hand Out This Halloween!

halloween

Trick OR treat? Honestly who doesn’t love getting some good candy? I know even as an adult I sure do, but everyone is so picky with what they like and dislike and what they may be allergic to, so this year I decided to hand out an alternative to candy that is still a treat! Plus all of these options are Teal Pumpkin Project approved!

The average cost of just one name brand piece of candy seems to be around 18¢ and we all know you usually don’t just give one piece! Guess what? All of the 10 (okay 12) super cool ideas below cost even less than that per piece and are way more fun!

So what are these ten budget friendly trick or treat items?

  1. Glowstick Bracelets – Yep, that’s right you can get 200 for just $6.99! That is less than 4¢ each!
  2. Stampers – These have mixed reviews, but at just $9.95 for 100 of them (which is 10¢ each), it seems well worth the cost!
  3. Glow In The Dark Critters – For 5¢ each these are sure to please! You will get 144 assorted pieces for just $6.36!
  4. Vinyl Paratroopers – Gliding in at around 17¢ each these guys are sure to make a great landing! For just $11.99 you will receive 6 dozen assorted paratroopers. Each one standing at approx. 2″!
  5. Miniature silly face slinkies – Well these are just adorable! $8.94 for 50 of them means that they are less than 18¢ each too!
  6. Kids Activity Dough – For only $1 per 8 pack kids will have a blast with these! 13¢ each is a steal. If you do not want to order a large quantity, consider heading on over to your local store to pick some up!
  7. Bubbles – Grab an 8 pack for only $1 which is 13¢ each and tie these up with a little orange ribbon or even decorate them if you are feeling crafty! If you do not want to order a large quantity, consider heading on over to your local store to pick some up! You could also skip the trip and pay slightly more to order some of these!
  8. Neon Rope Bracelets – For only $5.38 you can grab 144 pieces! That makes them just 4¢ each!
  9. Mini Stretchy Lizards & Frogs – Measuring around an inch and a half each these cute vinyl critters are sure tp please. Score 144 for only $9.99 making them ring in at only 7¢ each!
  10. Foam Gliders – Fly on over and score 6 dozen of these for only $10.34 (15¢ each)!
  11. Mini Dinosaurs – Roar into Halloween with 72 of these figures for just $8.98. That’s just 13¢ each!
  12. Halloween Stickers – I know we said 10 deals, but who doesn’t love stickers? These are just over a penny a piece!

Fisher-Price Think & Learn Smart Scan Color Chameleon – ONLY $9.39 (Reg: $25)!

How cool is this? Head on over to Amazon and score the Fisher-Price Think & Learn Smart Scan Color Chameleon for just $9.39. This is regularly $24.99.

This adorable toy Chameleon encourages preschoolers to explore the world of colors and numbers. Press the button on the Chameleon’s tail to scan one of the 10 paint splats and Chameleon will identify that color! Or, spread the paint splats on the floor, pick a play mode and be prompted to follow directions, sing, count, play games and more. Kids can even try scanning other items from around the room, like a book or a toy, to see what happens! They’ll have a blast with this “colorful” friend! There are 3 fun & interactive ways to play: Colors, Counting and Games. In Colors mode, the Chameleon encourages color hunts and other interactive play to help kids understand the difference between colors and identify each color by name. “That’s red! Now find the color blue!” In Numbers & Counting mode, as kids scan the numbered color splats, the Chameleon helps them count from 1-10. “Let’s go on a number hunt! I’ll tell you what number to look for! Ready? Show me the number 4!” The Chameleon can also help teach your preschooler how to sort and classify colors. In Games mode, kids will love trying to beat the clock as they play timed games like Follow the Lights and Counting Colors! “Find 5 blue objects in 10 seconds. Ready? Go.” In this mode, preschoolers are having lots of fun while they’re learning to listen & follow directions! Smart Scan Color Chameleon is one of the new Think & Learn toys from Fisher-Price that goes beyond ABCs and 123s to help children learn how to think independently. Each toy fosters 21st century skills like curiosity, experimentation and problem solving in ways kids haven’t seen before. They’re engaged in hands-on, open-ended discovery that helps them become lifelong learners.
